Dr. Jessy Azarcoya Barrera
Project: 2024 - Current
Research focus: Scientific oversight of the laboratory and assists the PI in supervision of students (at all levels) and volunteers. She also troubleshoots experimental protocols in collaboration with the lab technician and develops new research methods. She is the go-to person for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and clinical translation.

Research focus: Research on the mechanisms that accumulate apoB48-remnant lipoproteins in arterial tissue by proteoglycans during atherogenesis and insulin-resistance.
